I can never remember whether I put a yellow filter on my camera when I took this photograph or whether it really was taken during a beautiful sunset over Malibu beach. I prefer to think it was the latter as it’s more romantic. Also, Mick looks like he’s taken slightly unawares and so he is probably telling me to put the camera away and enjoy the sunset before it disappears. Either way, it is how I like to remember those languorous Californian evenings when the sun seemed to take a long time to set.
