Carinthia West is a photographer who has grown up in the presence of and been friends with some of the 20th century's greatest names from music, film and society. Her music related photographs include very personal shots of Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Carly Simon, and David Bowie. Other photographs include private shots of King Hussein, Eric Idle and Helen Mirren to name but a very few. Carinthia West has managed over the years to collect a massive and insightful portfolio of images due to her closeness to the subjects. Being friends with her subjects has allowed her to show these icons in relaxed and comfortable situations where the photos are rarely posed for and always honest.
