Mick often sat up late composing and playing with Ronnie Wood when he came to stay in Malibu. I love this picture because he was writing the song ‘Faraway Eyes’, at the time, and it was such a gentle love song. He gave it a Country and Western twist because he loved the Willie Nelson song ‘Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain’. I am not sure whether it was deliberate on my part to ‘soft-focus’ the image, but it suits the mood of the song...
