Ronnie Wood

Cotignac, South of France 1976
One of the nicest things about showing this collection is that everyone loves seeing themselves young and beautiful in the prime of their lives! Ronnie says this is his favourite photograph. Ronnie, his then wife, Krissy, and myself were staying with Eric Idle at his house in the South of France when Ronnie got badly bitten by mosquitoes. We smothered him in calamine lotion while we wickedly sang the lyrics to ‘Poison Ivy’ by the Coasters. He must have enjoyed it, however, as a few days later he re-hashed the song on stage while jamming at the Antibes Blues and Jazz Festival.
